how to tell if you're at a geeky conference

If there are free seats available anywhere near a power outlet, you are not at a geeky conference.
I secured a prime spot next to an outlet, only to discover I left my power adapter at home :(

It's not a big deal as I have two batteries which give me roughly 6 hours combined.

Still.  Free power going to waste...
