The programme for the upcoming ARL meeting is available
ARL President Brian E. C. Schottlaender, in collaboration with the leadership of CARL, has developed a program on "The International Dimensions of Digital Science and Scholarship." The program presentations for this meeting are planned to inform and advance the three strategic directions in the new ARL strategic plan: scholarly communication; public policies affecting research libraries; and the role of research libraries in research, teaching, and learning.

Ian Wilson, Librarian and Archivist of Canada, will speak on the vision of the Library and Archives of Canada (LAC), which was formed from the 2004 merger of the National Library of Canada and the National Archives of Canada. Following remarks from Dr. Wilson, transportation will be provided to the LAC Preservation Centre for tours and a reception.
On Thursday morning, the program will continue with keynote remarks from Lynne Brindley of the British Library and Deanna Marcum of the Library of Congress. Their remarks will be followed by a panel of experts with a broad range of experience in facilitating international digital projects.
