I always have to walk a fine line because it takes a while for official messages to be approved in the Government of Canada. We've got some approved releases, so therefore I'm happy to now be able to safely enter

Maybe it is the Friday afternoon brain slowdown, but I can't quite parse the meaning of these two sentences: Researchers from Canada and anywhere in the world now have access to millions of scientific, technical and medical (STM) journal articles from NRC-CISTI's Discover collection through Google Scholar, part of the world's most used search engine. Discover provides an immediate payment and download service, meeting the demands of the fast-paced research environment.

Is this pushing citations from a CISTI repository into Google Scholar's index? Is it an OpenURL resolver link-out from Google Scholar to CISTI's delivery service? Is it something else entirely?

@Peter It mostly only works in Canada, although it might work if you use scholar.google.ca - it's a Get at CISTI link that will show up, much like the BLDirect link, along the bottom. It's what I was hinting at in my "thousand words" post - http://scilib.typepad.com/science_library_pad/2009/02/a-thousand-words.html

Hmmm... Here is what I see when I go to the "thousand words" URL on Scholar.Google.CA: http://twitpic.com/2lsj7 -- I'm coming from an IP address that Google recognizes as belonging from an OhioLINK member institution, so note the juxtaposition of "Find it with OLinks" with "Get at CISTI" links. The former is Google knowing about OhioLINK's OpenURL resolver. The latter is, well, quite interesting. :-)
