The Ottawa chapter of Data Management International (DAMA-Ottawa) had an event on June 15, 2011 that was primarily about exploring possible alignment between the DAMA Data Management Book of Knowledge (DM-BOK) and the draft Directive on Data Stewardship, but which included some coverage of open data.
The presentations are now up
Data Management – Enabling Open Data and Interoperability (PDF) - June 15, 2011 - Pierre Boucher, Deputy CIO, Government of Canada
Directive on Data Stewardship (PDF) - June 15, 2011 - Mark Armstrong, Senior Policy Analyst, Treasury Board Secretariat
The complete set of presentations from DAMA-Ottawa is available on their Events Archive page.
I declared the hashtag for the event to be #damaott - and have recorded an Archivist Desktop archive (XML) of the tweets.
