Open Access Policy announced for Canada's granting councils

Canada's three granting councils (CIHR, SSHRC, NSERC - sometimes "Tri-Agency") have been working on a harmonized open access policy.

On February 27, 2015 Minister of State Holder announced the policy.

It allows green and gold open access, with a maximum 12 month embargo.
It comes into effect May 1, 2015.
