The Government of Canada has released its final draft 4th Plan on Open Government 2018-2020, as part of its participation in the Open Government Partnership (OGP). The plan has 10 draft commitments, which are available in Google Docs for commenting:

The Open Science commitment has four milestones:
- Pilot an open science portal to provide access to open access publications from federal scientists
- [Launch an online directory of National Research Council Canada scientists]
- Promote open science and actively solicit feedback on stakeholder needs for open data and open science
- Measure the Government of Canada’s progress in implementing open science, and the benefits open science can provide to Canadians
The deadline for feedback is August 13, 2018.
The 2016-2018 Open Government Plan, which also included an Open Science commitment, is now completed.
