End of Line

After ~22 years of public service, I have retired.

This work blog and my work Mastodon account will now go inactive.

Thanks for all the interesting discussions along the way.

While it's always awkward to thank one person without acknowledging the many others whose support I benefited from along the way, in the context of this blog I do want to extend particular gratitude to the late Maxine Clarke of Nature.  Based solely on my blog posts she invited me to contribute an online-only article for Nature, followed by print edition book reviews.  It was a transformative opportunity.

I imagine that is almost certainly the first time and quite probably the last time Nature contributions were solicited based on blog posts.
