Purchased a GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr Lite yesterday.

Installed the bundled software on XP (using Parallels). Installation went ok.

Receive an error message when trying to write modified settings to the device.

Receive a message complaining that the log file (downloaded by the bundled software!) has the wrong format . . .

MacOS 10.5.4; installed the software downloaded from the GiSTEQ website. Software is unable to connect to the device, urges me to disconnect, reconnect and start the device again.

Somehow I get the impression this unit is DOA. Will return the device to the store. Disappointing.

Very disappointing. Same problem as Jaap van der Veen, above.

I purchased this unit based on the fact that it has a rechargeable battery and can be plugged in in a car, as well as the ability to be used on a Mac. Doesn't work at all, and GiSTEQ is silent on the forums.

GiSTEQ is releasing a new version of their PhotoTracker GPS device, which adds geotagging information to digital photos. The $69 PhotoTrackr Mini DPL900 is smaller and less expensive than previous versions, and it has been redesigned to look more like a typical USB thumb drive. Most importantly, it has increased Mac compatibility and added RAW file support.

This unit will ship in November 2009. I don't know what's meant by Support RAW format (optional).
